Revival In Ministers

Revival In Ministers

True revival causes change in all of us, we are given a fresh outlook on life, our commUnities, and eternal destinations of those around us. This week in our studies we are going to look at the results of revival in ministers. We are currently working through R.A. Torrey’s book “How to Pray,” published by Whitaker House Publishing.   In revival, ministers receive a renewed love for souls. We ministers, as a whole, get to “involved” with the day to day obligations of pastoring, that we can get off focus of what really matters…the eternal souls of men and women. We can get so “busy” doing ministry that we get our priorities out of place and forget why God called us into the ministry to begin with. Galatians 6:9  tells us that we are not to get weary in well doing, or in other words don’t be so busy doing ministry that you get off track and become faint, weak, or outright fail in ministry because we get our eyes off of Jesus and onto ourselves or our ministry itself! True revival in minsters brings a fresh anointing for reaching the lost and hurting in our commUnities. Our goal comes into focus, on bringing the lost to Jesus. Let’s agree here, that this is why God first called us into the ministry to begin with, to reach the lost! (Luke 4:18-19) In revival, minsters receive a renewed love for and faith in God’s Word. It is inevitable that when we allow ourselves to become compassed about in the presence of God, that our love for His Word and our...

2015 Has Been Fulfilled 2016 Has Just Begun!

I want to pause on our regular blog subject just for this week and reflect on the Glory of God in the past year. “Revealing the King in 2015” Men of Renown held their first game supper in Feb. feeding some where around 400 +/- people in both great food and great Word! Kid’s Crusade in August saw a church full of kids from all ages engrossed in the Word of the Lord brought by Pastors Kevin and Veronica Vogele. We had a Water Baptism in August where we saw 15 people baptized. We were believing that this was going to be the year that the body of Christ at Christian Life and the body of Christ here at Advance First would come together as one. On October 11th, we held our Reconciliation Service, where the two Bodies of Christ came together in a Salt Covenant. One thing that we didn’t know at the time was that God was moving in another Church’s heart at this very time. New Beginnings Church, in Aid, Mo. not only was at this service but also took part in our Salt Covenant! (Three Churches coming together as ONE? Are you kidding me God?) God said “NOPE, I Am doesn’t kid”! Sure enough, in just a short bit of time the Body of Christ at New Beginnings came and became part of what God is building here in Advance. WOW!!!!!!! The plans for the new facility are getting close to being done. We are looking at beginning dirt work as soon as the weather begins to warm up! Now God has already told us...
