Hebrews 11:6 — But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Faith is the entryway to everything that God has for you! Your faith applies to every area of your life: spiritual, mental, physical and even relational, professional and yes, even financial.
Do you realize that you have the same opportunities to use the faith of God as Jesus does? Romans 8:17 — And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. If the Word of God is true, and we know that it is infallible, then this verse by itself tells us that everything that Jesus has we have. That what joint heirs with Christ means! That right there alone should be shouting ground!
- Mark 9:23 — Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
- Matthew 17:20 — And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
- Mark 11:23 — For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
- Luke 17:6 — And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
But it is up to us how far we go with the faith God has given us (Romans 12:3). The only limits placed on the growth of our faith are there because we placed them there. Not because our Father has placed them there. The growth of our faith is in direct proportion to the time we spend developing it. Our faith will grow until it becomes as large as it needs to be, to overcome whatever dart that the enemy decides to throw at us. Ephesians 6:16 — Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
So, the question is: how do we grow our faith? We find the answer in the Word of God. Romans 10:17 — So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Over the next few weeks we will be looking at confessions we can learn to speak over ourselves that will begin to develop our faith. Check back in weekly to see the confessions and the scriptures that they are based upon!
